Buttered Noodles and Chives

This dish is both quick and easy to prepare. This is a stylish dish to put together, when you need something on short notice.


12 oz package egg noodles
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/3 cup fresh chopped chives
2 cloves garlic crushed
1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Cook egg noodles per directions on package in a sauce pan. Drain in colander when done. This should only take a few minutes, as egg noodles, next to Ramen noodles are one of the fastest to cook. Return noodles to pan and add broth, butter, crushed garlic and pepper. When butter has melted, add in the chives, stir briefly and serve. Buttered noodles can be served straight from the pan, or if you want to impress someone, try using a nice serving bowl. Others have recommended a squeeze of lemon or a hint of rosemary as a spice.

This dish is excellent with grilled chicken or salmon, also couples well with a green vegetable.
