About the Iraq War Site
This account of the war is based largely on an excellent book called The Iraq War, by Williamson Murray and Major General Robert H. Scales, Jr. It also relies on other accounts and sources. Maps and artwork were created specifically for this site.
It is difficult to write about historical topics that are as controversial as is the Iraq War. Although I have attempted to keep my biases out of the text, I am certain I have not been completely successful. My stressing the "weapon's of mass destruction" is counter to many conspiracy theorists who hypothesize U.S. motives were completely about oil. It may have been a factor, but there were many more as well.
This site was largely developed to complement several other InDepthInfo sites that deal with Iraq. Taken altogether they form a very clear picture of the modern history of that war torn country:
The bio of Condoleezza Rice only figures tangentially into the history of Iraq.
