Mars
Katrina Rayment / -- Mars is named after the Roman god of war because the red color made them think of blood and war. Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. It looks like a star, but it really isn't. It is a planet. A day on Mars is a half a hour longer than a day on Earth. A year on Mars is almost double a year on Earth. For more information see "Destination: Mars" by Seymour Simon.
